Today is Matsuo Bashō’s deathday. You can learn more about him here. A gift from me to Matsuo, or a haiku on haiku:

Secret haiku verse —
Diction, syntax, meter first.
Rhyme, plot, stanza terse.

It sounds a lot nicer than it means. Birdsong is good that way.
